Reloading question
I need some advice, I do not reload anymore and no longer have a press, I have about 500 rds of 45 acp I loaded two years ago when I did. I was loading round ball then switched to a hollow point style round . basically I can load one or two in a magazine but the third or fourth start hanging up in the mag. I did measure overall length at least every ten Rounds pressed and everything was ok on them. I don’t know if it is the shape of the round that’s the issue. I was thinking if I seated the round just a hair farther in this might solve the problem but without a press and after they are crimped is this possible and how? They clear the mag lip just fine but once a few are in the mag I guess it’s the angle and shape that is the issue. Any advice would be great, I have loaded thousands of rounds and never had an issue before this. Maybe I just need to give these to someone for the components and buy new ammo.

Re: Reloading question
I just checked my Lyman Manual. The OAL for JHP is slightly shorter than the OAL for RN on .45 ACP. The OAL for a 200 gr. JHP varies from that of a 225 GR. JHP. I would find the loading data for the bullet you used with the round and measure the LOA. I would not attempt to fire any rounds until the OAL is validated as correct.
Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?
