Default Rep Bryan Cutler takes Gavel

Maj Leader Rep Bryan Cutler was elected the newest House Speaker following Mike Turzai’s resignation on 6/15

Cutler (45) takes the gavel 14 years after being elected to the General Assembly, marking the fastest ascent to Speakership in modern history.

Representing Southern Lancaster County, Rep Cutler holds traditional conservative values and supports gun rights, although he did vote to approve gun confiscation in cases of convicted domestic violence.

Did he take the gavel and then march around the building and down the steps with everyone around him? Cause I hear that's the thing to do.

In less than a week he moved a pro gun bill to remove restrictions during a state of emergency. HB1747 passed today and moves to the Senate
