Re: MONROEVILLE (Showmasters) June 27 - 28, 2020
We as vendors were misinformed as to how the entry procedures and the attendance limitations would work. Considering the restraints placed upon the promoter by the Democrat controlled Allegheny county, and by extension, the convention center management; I thought it worked as well as could be expected. Yes I know it was a disappointing PITA for you who wanted to attend. No one likes standing in lines any more than they have to. The gal who runs the show certainly wanted to run more people through. She makes money per the head-count. Most of us look at it with the idea that a less than perfect show is better than no show at all. As I stated in my first post in this thread; this may be the only show in the area for a while of things get shut back a bit. (As of this AM all the bars in Allegheny County must shut down at midnight till further notice.)
As for the amount of non-gun stuff at the show; I don't know what to tell you. Shows have been going that way for years. Unfortunately. There just aren't as many firearms and firearms related merchandise dealers as there used to be. Certainly not enough to fill a show the size of the Oaks halls or even the Monroeville Center. Add to that the issue of several of the regular firearms dealers elected to not do the Monroeville show for a various number of reasons.

Dave:
It was postponed to this weekend (Labor Day Weekend), then cancelled like a week or two ago.

Thanks Noah. That makes a good reason why no one was there!
