    Default Property Lines

When we bought our house, we have the property lines verified but did not pay for a copy of the document showing those lines and the coordinates of the corners.
Where, in York County, do I go to get a copy of this?
    Recorder of Deeds?
    Estimate of cost?

    TIA

You can go online and bring up the tax map of your property and it may have everything you are asking about.

    https://yorkcountypa.gov/property-ta...d-mapping.html

The information includes the deed book info you can use to find the original deed filed with the recorder of deeds, if you need that degree of detail.

    Thanks
The lines on that site are not showing correctly.
Only having a real issue locating one marker, probably need to rent a metal detector.
I need to go down to the Recorder of Deeds to file my DD214 anyway, so I might as well get a copy of their records.

Recorder of deeds will have the description and it may be specific somewhere in the past but it's not the same as having it surveyed and marked. If you have one pin you might get lucky and find others off of it. Why, you building a wall?

I have found all of the other markers. The last one is at the end of an alley, and is frustrating me that I cant locate it.
Once I get the last one I can finish my version of the property with the points located using actual coordinates that I can read, not that degrees, feet, inch crap.

If you know the lengths of the two sides of the property adjacent to the missing pin you should be able to take two tape measures off of the two pins you*ve found and where they cross should be the missing pin. You can get tape measures up to 330 feet long for under $17 at Harbor freight.

I buried four coffee cans full of concrete with a 12* piece of 1/2* rebar in it at each corner of my property after they surveyed it. Good thing we had it done. Original neighbor was a whack job and vowed he wasn*t going to let m3 build my garage on our mutual side of the property. Wanted to fight me. We got the survey done, and his fence was three feet on my property!

Back to the pins. Lots of people bury pins after a survey. Borrow a metal detector, and you might find one. If you find one, and have the dimensions (they should be on the deed) you can fin$ the rest.

Wonder how accurate the lines on that map actually are, decided to look mine up just out of curiosity and according to that map my property line looks to go right through half of my one neighbors garage
