Re: Ammo craziness
went to Hamburg cabelas (sunday) and Christiana Cabelas (Friday) last week. Hamburg was out of basically all ammo except 22LR and low on guns. Christiana seemed to have plenty of ammo but only about 8-10 guns left.
Reloading is also an option... Presses and parts seem to be in stock everywhere.

Re: Ammo craziness
I received 2 of my 6 boxes of .30 carbine from Cabelas. Do they pull online orders from store shelves? That's what it looks like. My order is coming in three shipments from three separate locations in NJ and Texas.

Re: Ammo craziness
Just ordered 500rd case of 40cal Winchester Ranger 180gr BJHP @$.48 a round from SG. They have a good amount of 40 but practically no 9. That's ok with me because now my 40 is catching up to my 9mm stock.

Re: Ammo craziness
It would be interesting to see a CGI animation of every round of ammo being bought in the USA in real time, especially at peak panic time. I have to think it would look like Niagara falls, but brass-colored, as thousands of rounds per second go out the doors.
Anybody have any real data on the most ammo sold per day in the last 20 years?
ETA: A quick search says that experts guess that we sell somewhere between 8-15 billion rounds per year in the USA, so figure maybe a billion rounds a month, 100 million rounds every 3 days, 33 million rounds per day.Last edited by GunLawyer001; June 29th, 2020 at 11:29 AM.
