    Default Ammo craziness

So how is everyone in the county and area doing with the ammo shortage. I thought it was bad under Obama.

Buy stupid amounts of ammo in the good times. Sooner or later, that stupid becomes genius.

My problem is I bought a stupid amount of .22LR times five, lol.

I was selling ammo in late May for twice what it was priced in January. I've since sold out.

I was even selling my own personal reserves ( WWIII supply ! ).

When prices return to normal ( when ? ), I'll have to stock up again.

No... having 50K rounds of anything is still stupid.

Plenty of people shoot 10k plus in a year. That*s just 200 a week.

5 years shooting on the shelf for a serious individual strikes me as prudent, not stupid.

A couple thousand of each caliber you shoot, plus 10k or 20k of .22LR isn't that unreasonable. More if you shoot a lot. Your reaction to a year-long ammo panic should be a big yawn.

For me. Maybe not for someone else. A guy with several kids could easily burn a brick of .22 a week. I*m sure there are guys at Knob Creek that shoot 50k in a year.

I*ve learned that my experiences are not the yardstick against which others should be measured.

Ammo business and bullets for that matter are booming at my shop. I'm at least a week behind and creeping up on 10 days. It's at the point now I am casting a 1000lbs of bullets a week and probly will burn up 1500lb next week. At least raw materials are not a problem yet.
