I tried to like polymer and even had a couple of HK USP Tac 45's that I was going to get cans for. Just didn't like the feel and balance. (Heavy slide, light frame). That being said the G19 is one of the best all round 9MM's going. Just not my cup of tea, but I am also right handed. My HK P7 is ambidextrous though.

Nice to see other south paws adapting as i have done. Yep trigger finger works well for mag drops and slide releasing. Sling shot method is good to go as well. The other brands that are embracing the lefty’s are fine weapons and I have shot many of them. I am so familiar with the Glock after 30 plus years I can’t justify trying to recreate the muscle memory that I have with the glocks. Someone new to handguns or younger in years would be foolish not to check out the more ambi guns that are out there. As most of us experienced shooters know comfort and muscle memory are king. Regardless how you roll keep on shooting and promote this fine hobby of ours.

I notice some lefties in this thread promoting conformity to a right-hand paradigm. Funny, I don't do that with my guns, but forty years ago as a kid when I started learning to play drums, I forced myself to learn to play a right-hand kit set-up so I could just jump on to any kit and start to play without re-arranging everything. Still fire long guns right-hand e.g., M16/AR15 as forced to adapt in military, but I like my pistols ambi and my shotgun is a Mossberg 500 for a more ambi-friendly safety design.

Shoefield 45LC its the penultimate ambidextrous pistol, you won't eat hot brass and the caliber is superior.

H&K P30 and HK45. Far better pistols than anything block has put out.
