Re: Bloomsburg Fairgrounds; June 20-21 2020
I gave about 60 guns to a dealer friend of mine to add to his inventory to take to the show. I couldn't make it there this weekend so he took some of my stuff there to sell. from what I have heard so far, this is going to be a very good show for both dealers and buyers. im currently getting new stuff in every other day, but its not like It was. prices have gone up on our end, and items are limited in quantity. get what you can get when you can get it. it will only get worse from here on out due to the lack of imports coming into the country from covid shutdowns in Europe and Asia. domestic manufacturers will have to make up that huge loss of imports for the next 6-8 months and since they learned a huge lesson after sandy hook and suffered from the glut of supply exceeding demand, they aren't going to run at break neck speed to just put themselves out of work.

I suspect with the absence of guns shows for the last three months, the ammo shortage, father's day, and other current events; it's going to be packed.

Spent about 3 hours there today. Nice, wide aisles, a fair amount of people, but not crowded at all. A few open tables. The folks that did have guns had some nice stuff. Too many folks selling crappy, damascus knives. A good supply of accessories.
My buddy walked out with a Charles Daly Honcho in .410. I bought a couple canteen cups and a nice weapon's light for my Honcho (the 20 guage has a rail on the front of the pump). It mounts rea!ly well and I like it more than I expected. It gives me something to brace my hand against whilst pumping the action.
I was wrestling pretty hard with getting a Hi Point carbine and a High Tower bullpup stock for it. I just can't see paying $600+ for a Hi Point.
I also was thinking hard about getting an older (1951) Beretta 9mm from ScotsGuard and NoahZark, but my buddy needed to get back home. Had he had more time, I probably would ha8ve gone back for that one. They always have nice handguns.
All in all, worth the hour+ drive.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Spot on ... A nice Saturday AM for me ... been so long, I almost forgot what gun-shows were!
Seemed to be more shotguns being offered than usual.
Thank You to Scotsguard for the courtesy on the Ruger side-folder!

I had my beard supporter on for the two hours I was there. I overheard a lot of first time pistol buyers talking to vendors. Picked up some Speer Gold Dot LE +P 9mm for 30 bucks a box. (38.95 on SGAmmo w/o shipping or taxes added). Felt good to go to a show. I was very shocked in the attendance. At 9:10AM Saturday morning, very few people were there. When I left, there was no crowd at all. That alone made it enjoyable.
