Default What did you build yourself

OK I did a search and in general there's nothing that I can find that is general to just building without it being specific so I thought I would do this instead. Considering I have been building a lot lately and I know there's a bunch of you that are doing the same here you are. And I am in the process of finishing up the other half of my Spartan 80% build so here we go.

Very nice, love the oil rubbed bronze look (looks like my kitchen fixtures).

Just finished my first 80% build in April. Nothing spectacular but I did it all myself, it works, and I do like the Kryptek finish.

    Thanks!

I've added a flip-up rear sight since and moved the optic forward on the rail...actually a lot more when I line up TWO sights plus an optic target.

Not bad for my first try and milling is actually both fun and a few relaxing hours alone in the garage.

Have a second one milled out for an AR pistol now.

milling out my own lowers is what I love it opens up so many options you can buy 80% custom ambi lowers billet etc for a fraction of the price you pay for a finished one. I always keep a few extra you know just in case.

First pic is a mock up. Last pic is the finished (before I start modifying it... )

Specs as it sits in the safe now:

-DPMS LR308 lower build kit (milspec LPK, upgraded for hogue overmolded stock set) from CDNN. Cerakote black graphite
-LJ’s AR parts dpms upper with park’d milspec BCG/forward assist/dust cover
-ER Shaw 18” 416R 1-10” match grade barrel, threaded 5/8”x24, m4 feed ramps
-LJ’s AR parts 15” clamp on free float M-lok hand guard, with 3” under rail
-CMMG SS gas tube, unknown adjustable low profile set screw gas block
-UTG flip up low profile BUIS
-Vortex diamondback 4-12x40 mounted in an eBay 30mm/1” QD PEPR Cantilevered mount
-Vortex Viper 6 MOA red dot
-unknown brand stainless BFC (big f’n compensator, 9 hole, 3”)

Odinworks adjustable buffer en route, as well as YHM gas block, and A2 flash hider. Also on the list is a better charging handle (raptor or Gisselle I’m thinking). Maybe an ambi safety selector and extended mag release, and a B.A.D lever. Eventually a better trigger (echo II or Gisselle)

I see what you did there lol

PRS/LR/Midwest deer stand rifle this is not a carry all day in the woods rifle, damn thing is heavy.

Edit: add a Beatenzone ATCH7 charging handle to the list of parts. The Seekins is too short and hard to manipulate with scope mounted
