Re: What did you build yourself
I'm wrapping up my PPSH41 reweld in 9mm. This is a 1943 Russian kit with a closed bolt SA striker action and a 16 inch barrel.
Overall, a very fun build and it works remarkably well.Last edited by Flounder; January 9th, 2023 at 05:03 PM.

NICE!!! ^^^
I would imagine shooting one is pleasant. Seems all that weight would have to soak up a lot of recoil.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: What did you build yourself
I finished a PPS-43 SBR. Bolt was converted to semi by KP Products. I lucked into a semi lower, so I didn't have to install the semi trigger myself. 9mm barrel from Pike Arms. Did some TIG welding, some grinding, and some heating and beating, and it works great. I gave the receiver a coat of flat back rattle after this photo. No fancy finish on this one. On to the next project...
Edit: This was my 3000th post. Cheers to the PAFOA community.

Re: What did you build yourself
Thanks! Hopefully I will have a few more to show soon. I finally got the heater installed and working in my garage and it is so so nice. Definitely gives me a little more motivation to work out there in the cold evenings.

Re: What did you build yourself
Hopefully you can find someone local who can give you some welding tips. For most of this stuff you can get away with a small 110v MIG welder, even flux core works but I prefer gas shielding for cleaner welds. But I use TIG on everything anyways. At least welding can be re-done and re-done (to a point). I dislike wood work, since you can't put the wood back together.

Re: What did you build yourself
4 kits came in today, roughed them together to make sure everything was there. One bcg was bad due to the bolt being out of spec, i'll be caling them tomorrow to get a replacement.
