Re: U.S. Supreme Court declines to hear gun rights cases
By the way.... not only did 10 gun cases get turned down by SCOTUS...
There were at least 8 cases on Qualified Immunity applying to police officers and SCOTUS refused to hear all of them.

Re: U.S. Supreme Court declines to hear gun rights cases
Here's some of what Justice Thomas said.
"The text of the Second Amendment protects 'the right of the people to keep and bear Arms.' We have stated that this 'fundamental righ[t]' is 'necessary to our system of ordered liberty.' Yet, in several jurisdictions throughout the country, law-abiding citizens have been barred from exercising the fundamental right to bear arms because they cannot show that they have a 'justifiable need' or 'good reason' for doing so," Thomas wrote.
"One would think that such an onerous burden on a fundamental right would warrant this Court*s review. This Court would almost certainly review the constitutionality of a law requiring citizens to establish a justifiable need before exercising their free speech rights," he wrote. "And it seems highly unlikely that the Court would allow a State to enforce a law requiring a woman to provide a justifiable need before seeking an abortion. But today, faced with a petition challenging just such a restriction on citizens* Second Amendment rights, the Court simply looks the other way."Relationships between men and women can be difficult - but not impossible.

Re: U.S. Supreme Court declines to hear gun rights cases
Roberts, the new Kennedy but as Chief Justice. We saw it with Obama care how he was gong to suck.
Maybe the only silver lining here is the cases would*ve been decided against 2A had they*d gone to court with Roberts voting with progressives so let them sit and come back in different form if we get a strong 2A conservative on the bench.
And How the hell is Ginsburg still alive.

Re: U.S. Supreme Court declines to hear gun rights cases
I believe we need to flip another seat before the court takes on a major second amendment case. We have a suspected 5-4 majority that includes Jake the snake Roberts. There is no telling how Roberts would decide on a Semi auto auto ban, Magazine limitation, right to carry etc case. I don't trust him. I say wait until we stack the deck more in our favor before we send another gun rights case.

Re: U.S. Supreme Court declines to hear gun rights cases
It isn't just Roberts. It only takes 4 Justices to vote to hear a case.
We can rule our Thomas, he has complained about the court not taking 2A cases. He is probably the most pro-2A of the bunch, and the closest to Constitutionally correct in the Heller decision.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515
