Re: Ruger Blackhawk Owners- question
Just checked mine. Opened the gate and spun the cylinder to confirm it's unloaded first, then cocked the hammer. Gate will open a little ways but cylinder is still locked up. My Blackhawk is a convertible 9mm/357 that is about 2 years old.

Re: Ruger Blackhawk Owners- question
I do not understand why this would be a problem as it*s not a part of the manual of arms nor is it a safety issue unless completing the cocking doesn*t align the cylinder and you didn*t state that.
Manx, I*d be interested in the mechanics of your incident on lint. As a side question, do you pocket carry a SAA clone (outside dimensions)? How else do you acquire lint in a hip gun? Bellybutton? How did the lint and the loading gate interact to cause said incident? The Gun is the Badge of a Free Man
