Re: Red dots and astigmatism
Got a Burris Fastfire 3 on a rebate. Was really looking forward to it. I thought it was broken. Nope. Astigmatism.

Re: Red dots and astigmatism
I have the same problem. I have two ways of fixing it. One is to add a magnifier to help crispen the dot. Second is to flip up your rear sight so it makes the dot much crisper while you are looking thru the red dot. Either way works for me.
Most people say to pick up reading glasses with magnification which helps as well.Last edited by Square Bag; June 15th, 2020 at 02:10 PM.

Re: Red dots and astigmatism
Maybe for you, not for me or a lot of other people. Mine cannot be corrected completely wearing glasses. Before prism sights, I just learned to deal with it. I can still shoot with a red dot, just not as precisely as I'd like.
Red dots are fuzzy starbursts. Some less so than others. The Trijicon RMR and MRO are the clearest ones I've ever tried. Sig Romeo is decent, but still fuzzy. Aimpoints suck. Holosun and Primary Arms are the same, just OK. Bushnell and TruGlo are meh at best.
