Body cam recommendations?
Shit's definitely getting real. The New Mexico shooting has me thinking about getting a body cam. This should be a must now for anyone going to Gettysburg or a 2A rally or anywhere near "protesters". Can anyone recommend a decent, reasonably-priced camera?

Man, I just googled the price of an Axon.... $400! Interested to see what you find.

Make sure you find one with a quick erase button. Bodycams can incriminate you too. A lot of cops aren't charged till the bodycam or other video evidence is leaked

Given he is a constable, he may have to deal with the issue of spoliation of evidence:

This is a really good question. I was looking into them as well before we went to Harrisburg for the rally for this very reason. I found Amazon has a bunch of "cheaper" ones but I'm sure they're all garbage, unless someone has actual experience with any.

Re: Body cam recommendations?
I have a Mobius camera that I used for IDPA and AutoX. It has a lot of settings, but isn't the most user friendly to setup. It works pretty well for that sort of stuff, but the battery life is probably 1.5 hours. That's good enough for my uses but not if you want it on continuously. You would have to hit the on/off button when you think an event could start/end.
I'd imagine that anything with a long battery time and good durability (waterproof etc) will be a bit pricey. If you use it as part of your job, then you could deduct it on taxes.
