I’m sure I know the answer to this but does anyone know for sure if the plan covers all licensed gun owners in the house like my wife or does each individual need their own policy?

Having looked into it a bit more, my understanding is the difference is this:

USCCA is more like "insurance" e.g. you pick the lawyer, they'll cover your costs up to the stated amount, e.g. $500K for X charge/situation.

USLS is more like a 'legal HMO plan' where they will assign one of the lawyers in their network to defend you.

If anyone cares to share some insight on that, most welcome.

I had a lawyer report fast action on the part of USCCA being a major factor in defending some cases so that is who I went with.

It's funny that this comes up now, as I just commented to any wife that it might be time to sign up for one of these.

I went to a US Law Shield seminar awhile back at the range. It was informative, but for whatever reason, I didn't join. A friend is a member of another, perhaps USCCA?

    I mirror KC's comments.

All that being said, I don't know if these firms have a better success rate, etc...

They would need to be added. US Law Shield also has an option for adding kids on

Like all insurance, it's something you need but hope you never use. Time for me to look into it.

I went with US Lawshield after attending some great free info sessions they had. Also, the no limit attorney fees. That said, where they aren't as strong is having no compensation while in court, or the level of training and education that USCCA has available. That was a very close second choice.
