Question about Philly gun permit unit closure.

Has there been any movement on philadelphia and other counties not taking LTCF apps from a legal standpoint? I did a quick search and couldnt find anything specific.

I believe licenses that expired March 19th or later have been extended* to July 31st. There is also a statute that allows for a defense** if your license has been expired 6 months or less. Many counties are beginning to open up via appointments, either this past Monday or the upcoming Monday. Unsure about Philly - perhaps check their website if they have one.


*there's no law allowing this. So technically you're in violation of the statute, but probably won't have any trouble.
**this could end up being a defense in court AFTER you're arrested.
