How "light weight" is your vest? Any ballistic protection is much better than nothing.
It's level IV Ceramic plates that weigh 6lbs each rated up to 308 and will stop M855, there was no way I could wear AR500 steel plates at 10 lbs pls each. I may get some soft armor as well down the line that's easily concealed.

What battle belt did you go with?

Lightweight? LOL My level II vest is like a smelly T-shirt by comparison.

Well it's light weight for rifle plates.

Same EDC's, avoiding cities right now mainly from not being able to afford to travel due to layoff.

VTAC. I need to get some paint on my old SLS holster. And I'd like to add a tourniquet.

My EDC is a 5" 1911 loaded 8+1 and 2x8-round spares, so I don't feel much need to change when going 3 blocks to pick up grub. That said:

All of my pants and shorts are Tru-Spec 24/7 that are made to hold 2-30round AR mags in the each thigh pocket and my 7½ AR in .223 Wylde is right by my knee as I type this, so if I hear the fan slow down due to defecation I can take another 150 rounds of reach-out-and-touch to the vehicle without too much trouble.

My EDC is Colt Delta in 10mm and the only difference now is I have upped my extra magazine count from one to two magazines. That should be enough to get me back to my truck where there is a six pack of loaded magazines in 10mm and a Browning High Power with 15 round mag in firearm and a six pack of loaded 15 rounders of 9mm. That's my EDC if I have to go into the cities like filthy. Locally North West PA rural no big trouble spots Delta plus one magazine on my person and 2 in the truck.
