    Default 7.62x39 AR build!

I abandoned the AR9 idea and decided I wanted something different; a 7.62x39 AR! For now, this upper is sharing my Rainier Arms fully ambidextrous lower with my 5.56 upper but I do intend to put an ambi lower together for it soon. I love the handguard and sight. The red dot is a Holosun 510C and it's awesome. I got this Diamondhead handguard from primary arms a few months ago because it was on clearance and it looks cool but good god, it feels awesome. Very slim and those grooves in the bottom feel nice. This barrel weighs a lot but it balances really well because most of the weight is under the handguard unlike a government profile 5.56 barrel.

Thanks to emptymag for sharing some of his 7.62x39 AR experience and sending me the link to the barrel!

My wife wanted me to put a vertical grip on it so I went out and got a magpul mvg today.

It has a lot of generic parts on it; anderson upper with no forward assist, no name barrel from CDNN, 3 prong flash hider but also a sweet ass Holosun 510C and Diamondhead handguard. This barrel weighs a lot so I'm gonna want to do some more push ups.

This 3 prong flash hider is about as much of a basic bitch muzzle device as you can get aside from an A2 birdcage but I think it looks cool!

I think I like that handguard. Looks nice and slim.

That Anderson upper is the best deal you can find for a "no forward assist" upper. I have one of those.
I like the Aero Precision slick side upper better though since it does have a dust cover. The Aero is stupid expensive though unless you can find a sale - which is rare.

Are those some sort of snap on rail covers on the top rail?

For those who reload. The deflector can put quite a dent on ejected brass. I glue a piece of inner tube rubber on the deflector. Being black, it is barely noticable , and no dents.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Yeah, I got them from amazon. I use them on my Stribog and 5.56 upper as well. They're much better quality than the ladder rail covers I had been using for years. I have BCM mlok covers on the way for some texture but I'm gonna wear a glove on my right hand this weekend when I shoot this.

I got the bolt. They're sharing the raptor charging handle until my BCM arrives next week though.
