So the dead guy was upset about "something" that happened earlier at a gun store?

Might not a smarter person have factored in the fact that his proposed target was met at a gun store?

If I meet someone at the ski shop, it's a pretty fair bet that they own skis.

And the surviving brother says that he suspected that the dead guy was up to something funny; was that before or after they both put on hoods and stalked a couple eating burgers?

    Still want to.

He wouldn’t have needed 10 rounds to stop the threat.

You are a lawyer. How many of you criminal clients are smarter than the average person?

    Something smells funny here.
Something is hinky here ---his girlfriend just happens to be Tori Nonaka (plenty o' naka if ya ask me):

Tori M. Nonaka (born 23 March 1995 in Woodbridge, Virginia, United States) is an American sport shooter with two IPSC Handgun World Shoot silver medals in the Standard division Lady category (2011 and 2014). She was one of three members of Team GLOCK. She grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia, where she began shooting at age 3. At age 12, Tori attended the US Shooting Academy, which sparked her interest in becoming a professional shooter and led her to begin shooting competitively. On March 2, 2011, GLOCK, Inc announced that 15-year-old Tori would be a member of Team GLOCK Shooting Squad. In March 2017 Tori went independent and left Team Glock.

What they do---walk out---see a threat and go "You want this one?" and she goes "Naw.....I'm still full from dinner....you take it"

Good thing the DA no-billed him, but I wouldn't be surprised to see an "excessive force" comment or two...................

Or maybe he's really Bishop from "Aliens"?
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will...
