Default S&W M&P peeps, need your thoughts..

    I have 2 M&P's.
Full size 9mm, and compact 9mm.
Both are super reliable. Never failed on me, and I trust my like with this weapon with no difficulty.

While I think M&P are one of best weapon for the money, I have, however, 1 nagging issue(well, not realy an issue, but more of annoyance then anything)

    Weak ejection!

Its important to let you know that it NEVER failed to pull out the empties. it just does not spit empties far. They ususaly ends up on my head, arm, forehed(or sometimes down on my fiance's shirt).

I just never thought much about it, because it does comeout, which is most important.
But when I bought compact, and it had same weak ejection, I now wonder, is all M&P suffers from weak ejection? If so, did anyone ever came up with any fix?

Oh and I don't give a hoot how good your Glock eject empties.

Both of mine run super. Never paid much attention to how far the empty cases fly. I'm never hit in the face or body with empties.

Good thing is that the extractor is coil spring operated, and can be tweaked with a heavier or lighter spring. This will help with the WEEKEND EJECTION

No problems from the few other guns I have seen. Check the M&P Forums.

Mity, do you run it dry or wet?

Running it wet may help with the weak ejection.

Yes, I structured that sentence that way on purpose.

Yasu is it doing it a specific type of ammunition? WWB? UMC? etc.. does it do it with full power loads for self defense? How about +p or +p+ loads?

As far as the grammer, I'll give him an 80% since english is his SECOND language and I've seen far worse from people who speak english as their only language. 3 posts above mine

    Thank you Josh.

Weak ejection with both M&P's are with variety of ammos I've used over past 2.5 years. Below are list of manufactures I've use/used...

    Winchester(FMJ)
    Remington(FMJ and HP)
    Federal(Hydrashock, and classic
    CCI(both aluminum/brass cases)
    Hornady(TAP)
    Wolf

    I've never shot reloads, +p and +p+.

I've had an issue with weak ejection is my Walther P-22.
There were write up on some forum I went that extractor on P-22 does not hold rim tightly, which leads to weak ejection issues

I have checked to see how tight my extractor is grabbing the rim, and here is pic of that:

You can see that its holding case rim, but loosly. Both of my M&P's are like that. I donno if that'll case weak ejection tho...

I'm not sure, however, how accuratly it simulate how extractor is grabbing case by inserting brass in to position by your hand.

I don't care for it to spit empties 20 feet away from me, as my P-6, and my CBOB does spits empties good 15+feet away, and it is PITA to clean up afterwords.
But it would be nice if it at least clear my bodyparts.

I seem to remember something on the M&P forums about the 9s doing this.

Might be my imagination? I'd ask there anyway.

My 40 throws them fairly far. It also dents the cases. I've been told, it's possibly because of a tight extrator.
