Re: New to PA and looking for a hunt club
Elverson allows members to hunt on property, but there is always a list to join the club, since there's only 400 members.
Green Hills has a 300 yard range in Morgantown, but they haven't had monthly meetings. Cannot hunt on club property though.

Re: New to PA and looking for a hunt club
I was dropping a deer at Frigid Freeze in Reigelsville and there was a stock trailer large enough to move 6 - 8 head of beef stacked full of deer piled in like cord wood. The lady said 'Oh that's from a club in Jersey"...but no rifles.
I drive up to the family lease in the Delaware State Forest. 85 miles and it sure was closer when I was growing up in Easton and there seemed to be a lot more deer back then too!

Re: New to PA and looking for a hunt club
I just so happen to have a Savage 220. My buddy’s farm (in VA) was split between Suffolk and Isle of Wight counties, the latter of which did not allow rifles....and it gave me reason to buy one.
It’s the internet, so I don’t put too much stock in it, but I’ve read NJ has demonized guns and hunting so much, that the deer are as plentiful as that filled stock trailer would suggest.

Re: New to PA and looking for a hunt club
What is the maximum distance you want to travel?
Hunting leases are common in Pa. Not really a club.

Re: New to PA and looking for a hunt club
We hunt local Game Lands with good success but you have to pick your days though. SGL 43 and 234 (both parts) get hit pretty hard at times. Exclusive access to Private land to hunt down here is like finding a unicorn being ridden by a leprechaun holding a bag of gold.
We have a camp in Western PA where we do a lot of hunting. If you see another hunter in the woods they are usually from your camp. Downside to that is it is a 4.5 hour drive for us. So single day hunts are out. If you are willing to drive 1-2 hours you have an abundance of public acreage to hunt. The link below might be a good help to get you started
