True. If it was a call it probably went more along the lines of “Hey there is a guy wearing a gun out in front of the post office.” As compared to “there is a maniac waving a gun about to go postal.”

We send two officers to disturbances, fights, investigate the man with a stick, rock, paper or scissors. I am sure an investigate the man with a gun would have at least two officers.

Bottom line, it was a non incident.

My interactions with the Skippack PSP have been very positive. Not surprised of the non event. The Hennings there has good cinnamon rolls, btw...

I don't think they are allowed to stop and ask for any documentation without some kind of cause. This would fall on the context of a call to dispatch if there was one, right?

Because of the virus the cops like to avoid contact.

Ironically I was there today also, around 3pm. There was no talk of the Beretta toting miscreant that I overheard.

Some people just freak out at the sign of a gun. Karen probably made a call.

I once met someone to sell a rifle in the far corner of a strip mall with a grocery store. We did the deal and talked for a few minutes. The buyer's hatch is still open with the rifle in the open case. Two patrol cars come up and one officer gets out and approaches us, asking very calmly how's it going/what's up. I just told him I sold a rifle to the other guy, and the cop says something like 'OK, fine. We got a call and had to respond.' Walks back to his car and leaves and all is OK.

Perhaps they just had an Amazon return to drop off at the UPS store?
