Default Michigan Gov. Whitmer wants to ban guns from Capitol

It looks like Cruella is doubling down on her assault on her peasants.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer wants to bar weapons from being brought into the state Capitol after anti-lockdown protesters showed up with firearms, she told NBC News in a wide-ranging interview.

The Democratic governor's comments came after gun-toting militia protesters joined a larger group demanding that Whitmer reopen swaths of the state's economy in a demonstration last week. The protesters spilled inside the Capitol, where a number of the armed demonstrators confronted police officers and insisted on being allowed onto the statehouse floor as lawmakers debated an extension of her emergency powers.

Under current state law, it is legal to bring firearms inside the Capitol in the open-carry state.

Had to figure that was coming. Every news channel in the country showed that photo while the news anchors were gasping and wondering aloud why guns are permitted in the Capitol building

They SHOULD be legal in every statehouse, every government building, every public space. The government, at EVERY level, should tremble in fear of our guns. THAT is the point of the Second Amendment.

These Democratic governors and some RINO ones are really getting ballsy with the orders they are proclaiming...I really hope some state reps grow some balls to limit the governor powers in the future, or the ability to remove from office....

I agree, just pointing out how the media was purposefully dictating public opinion

I called that change when it happened. I was surprised that firearms were allowed in the capital. Figured it would change.

Did anyone inform her that she doesn't write laws?

I had close friends give me puzzled looks yesterday when I told then that some states allow firearms in state and/or capital buildings and that this protest was totally legal.

I didn't know that it was legal in that state until I looked it up that night. I explained to my wife that we had to check our guns when we went to Harrisburg to protest if we wanted to enter the Capitol.
