Michigan Gov. Whitmer wants to ban guns from Capitol except those that protect her.

I didn't know that it was legal in that state until I looked it up that night. I explained to my wife that we had to check our guns when we went to Harrisburg to protest if we wanted to enter the Capitol.

It is legal In Pennsylvania as well, with the caveat that The State Supreme Court offices (used to be) there.

As t he court has moved to another building, unless that court is still being used as a court and designated as such; the current policy at the capital is illegal.

I called that change when it happened. I was surprised that firearms were allowed in the capital. Figured it would change.

Did anyone inform her that she doesn't write laws?

The governor still thinks we are a Queen's colony like New Zealand, Australia, and Canada and can ban guns by proclamation.

I have heard that there is some sort of court office in the Capitol Building and that is why we cannot carry in there. I never researched it though.
