Wife got her renewal notice in the mail. Despise how the cover letter states that references are mandatory

Chesco Sheriff office now requires an appointment for LTCF renewals... I showed up and they took me because they weren't busy at that time. Renewed on the spot.

Just scheduled for my renewal... right now "next Available" appointments are a month out. Hopefully they don't take the full 45 days before renewing.

I don*t know about renewals but I filed a new LTCF permit May19th the first day new permit applications were accepted and I*m still waiting for my letter. Next Friday makes it 45 days. Looks like at least for new permit holders, it*s going to be the full 45

Great, just great... It was nice not having to worry about that with Sheriff Welsh. Unfortunately not a lot around me do any shooting & I usually get the "what would you need that for?" line when it comes up. Going to be a chore, with 'rona delays & having to round up references.

References are optional in Chester County. Again call the Office and they will schedule your appointment for renewal. The online appointments are for new applicants only.

Renewed today at the Sheriff's office. Waited 3 minutes and they re-issued for another 5 years.

Easy as pie. Glad to be in Chester County and no longer in Montgomery County!

Well changing counties is not a renewal is a new application. So filed on July 15th and got it in mail today. 2 weeks ain't bad for a "new application". My doe tag got approved before that and i still don't have that back.

It doesn't matter. The process is identical either way. You have to pass a PICS check, and the sheriff has 45 days to issue or deny.
