Wife got her renewal notice in the mail. Despise how the cover letter states that references are mandatory

Chesco Sheriff office now requires an appointment for LTCF renewals... I showed up and they took me because they weren't busy at that time. Renewed on the spot.

Just scheduled for my renewal... right now "next Available" appointments are a month out. Hopefully they don't take the full 45 days before renewing.

I don*t know about renewals but I filed a new LTCF permit May19th the first day new permit applications were accepted and I*m still waiting for my letter. Next Friday makes it 45 days. Looks like at least for new permit holders, it*s going to be the full 45

Well changing counties is not a renewal is a new application. So filed on July 15th and got it in mail today. 2 weeks ain't bad for a "new application". My doe tag got approved before that and i still don't have that back.

It doesn't matter. The process is identical either way. You have to pass a PICS check, and the sheriff has 45 days to issue or deny.

I know the process is the same... and realize that it should be instant (semi-instant) all around. Chester Co Sheriff renews on spot but claims they may take full 45 days for new ones. My 2 week comment was more related to IcarianX having to wait the full time and me getting mine in the mail that quick.

Update on New/renewal appointments...According to the officer I spoke with yesterday, They are currently scheduling New/Renewal appointments out for February 2021.
FWIW...My application was for new, but i'll follow-up once mine arrives in the mail.

Just an update on mine.. I called on the 45th day, they mailed it out that day..

I have no idea what the delay was other than artificial.. I typically buy 1-2 firearms per month, even during current times, and my pics check comes back instantly with approval.

To quote the author of this reply... Is that the current wait time for new LTCF application appointments, or is that as far out as they are scheduling renewals for? Never knew there was that many people in Chesco looking for LTCF permits.
