Normal is a 1911 in a safariland pancake, or xd-s in otwb, I hate driving with the ISWB holster, sometimes a keltec in it's pocket holster. I wear long carhart shirts. Now the colder weather is here it's back to my carhart jacket and the XDS in the pocket. It has an inside zippered pocket left side, the outside pockets both zip up. I'd like to pickup a springfield 911 but I have not been able to put or hold a .380 911 alongside a 9mm one for comparison.

Do you think a manual safety is neccesary on a back up gun? Im considering the SA hell cat after reading this thread but that one has no MS.

J frame is the smallest Smith and Wesson revolver frame size. Exposed hammer, hammer less and shrouded hammer models in blue, nickel, stainless, aluminum and titanium are all options. Calibers 22 to 357 magnum.

I prefer the 640-1 all stainless steel 357 snub hammerless centennial with crimson trace laser grips for carry. I like a good in the waste leather holster for winter and kydex for summer.

Striker fired isn*t single action. Doesn*t need a safety if you are capable of not fingering the trigger and making sure the holster or other things don*t activate the trigger when reholstering.

Single actions need manual safeties or hammer down carry, empty chamber depending on firing pin design, ie does it rest on the primer.

Occasionally, not regularly. I just got an ankle holster, love it with my LCP.

I usually just carry a spare mag with my EDC.

I truly hope I never need 40 rounds.

I have one that's a soft material, sort of like a padded belly band. Not uncomfortable and I've run and played sports with one on. Secure with the velcro strap on.

emptymag posted a deal on it not long ago and I jumped on it.

    Update, now $15, was $10 when I bought: https://www.amazon.com/Gogoku-Concea...1996334&sr=8-5

    Still worth it at $15.
