Re: Saw my first open carrier in the wild: Centre county
I would say no, as at my oldest I wasn’t even 4 at the very end of the 80s, and it is still mentioned. Specifically I’ve heard younger people mention it as the reason they got gauges, instead of earrings.
Penna is a big place. Outside of a planned gathering, I don’t think I’ve seen another OCer in the wild.Last edited by PAMedic=F|A=; May 3rd, 2020 at 08:38 AM.

Re: Saw my first open carrier in the wild: Centre county
It had to do with wearing just the right earring, like wearing a wristwatch at the beginning of the 20th century.
Nowadays, pants wore low, came from prisons, as a signal meaning, open for business. The yutes today don't get that reference, that they are actually trolling.

With only 4 post this thread went from open carry to homo-sexuality. I open carry quite a bit and I plan on stirring the pot today at the Daleville Shoprite.

Re: Saw my first open carrier in the wild: Centre county
The wife and I moved to Hanover last year. Prior to that we lived 16 years just across the line in MD but did most of our shopping here in Hanover.
In all my years of coming here I've only ever saw 1 OC'er and maybe 3 confirmed CC'ers.

I got a compliment at the Shoprite for exercising my 2nd amendment rights this morning.

I OC here in the Poconos every day. Noone really even bats an eye. And on the weekends there's more NY and jersey plates than PA ones. I remember one guy, about middle aged, asked me "Is that legal" I just said yep and kept walking.
AK-47s for EVERYONE!!!
