    Default SCCY DVG

New offering from budget company SCCY. Striker fired micro compact. 15oz, 1" thick, 10+1 9mm. With optional CT red dot, street price is just over $300. The P365 and Hellcat are making waves with their capacity and this matches it, and for the price I'm pretty intrigued.

Obviously SCCY doesn't have a perfect track record but it does have a lifetime warranty. Once it's available I may snag one and run it hard for a potential carry contender.

This is the gun Kel-Tec or Ruger should have made YEARS ago.
Remember the Kel-Tec P-11 was released in 1995.
Kel-Tec never improved the trigger on the P-11 and Ruger never cloned it so we never got a striker fired version from them. At least Sccy finally upgraded their P-11 clone but I think they're late to the game.
Tact is just not saying true stuff. I'll pass.

I want to say no because I have first hand experience that sccy is shit, but striker fired would deal with the biggest issue that their DA guns have (the trigger). If they end up as cheap as their other POS's I might get one just to play with.

That's my thought as well. It's a relatively cheap gamble. My problem is even if it runs flawless for a few hundred rounds, will I ever trust it enough to carry? There are millions of Shields and Glocks out there that are perfect, so there is a bit of initial trust there, for example. The SCCY, not so much.

If you don't have a series of carry guns already what hope is there for you?

I do, and the other issue is - do I really need another?

A life of only the necessities is hardly worth the living.

That's like asking what the problem is with an actual turd. They're just bad guns all around.
