Wood Chipper - Small

Looking to borrow (or buy, if reasonable) a small(ish) wood chipper. Looking for something that will handle up to 3-4 inches.

Try before you buy. I bought a 3" rated chipper shredder from Tractor Supply years ago and was underwhelmed. It really only was effective up to 1" dia. Sold it and got a 3 pt hitch model handles up to 6", but it did cost a lot more - worth it in the end if I figure how much I would have spent on rental over the years. Hope you find something that works for you! Stay safe!

Rental rates are rather high.
This "should" be a one time use type of deal. Have a bunch of shrubs from a tall hedge that died, and figured I could chip them up to use in garden beds.

Nothing in the area that I could find.

Burn day was last weekend; want to chip / shread this stuff to use as mulch on planter boxes.

Not everyone can burn. It isn't allowed in my town. Can't even have a burn barrel.
