    Default Wood Chipper - Small

Looking to borrow (or buy, if reasonable) a small(ish) wood chipper. Looking for something that will handle up to 3-4 inches.

Try before you buy. I bought a 3" rated chipper shredder from Tractor Supply years ago and was underwhelmed. It really only was effective up to 1" dia. Sold it and got a 3 pt hitch model handles up to 6", but it did cost a lot more - worth it in the end if I figure how much I would have spent on rental over the years. Hope you find something that works for you! Stay safe!

    Thanks for the info.
    Rental rates are rather high.
This "should" be a one time use type of deal. Have a bunch of shrubs from a tall hedge that died, and figured I could chip them up to use in garden beds.

Don't you have a lighter or a box of matches?

Not everyone can burn. It isn't allowed in my town. Can't even have a burn barrel.

I know and for me it's a loss of a dear right. I've been a pyro for as long as I can remember and when I moved into my last house out in the rural barrens of Douglass Twp, Berks County I learned that the hard way and had to move my burn site out of sight. But I moved to a free country now where we are free to burn with very few restrictions and having a pack of hot dogs on hand to 'cook' on the fire is the runaround for those.

I'm not sure if we can even have a fire pit to toast marshmallows

Reminds me that I need to procure another burn barrel. Last one overheated and fell apart.
