Any issues with keeping guns at family house in PA. to use at gun ranges in PA?
If I live in a neighboring state, do you see any issue if I keep my guns in PA at a family members house and use those guns to go to the range with?
I would pick up the guns at my family members house, put them in my car, and drive to the range, then drive them back to my family members house.
I do not hold a PA driver license.
Will the gun ranges give me any issues if I do this?
I think it is perfectly legal, but there are so many laws and state laws that you never know.
Thanks.Last edited by GunEnthusiast2000; April 22nd, 2020 at 02:51 PM.

I think that would legally be considered an out of state transfer but I'll wait for the better legal minds to chime in.

Dont know about legality, but doubt any ranges would give two shits.

Depending on how far you live from the range, you can probably go directly to fhe range from your home with the firearms.

I expected that someone who really knew the answer would have popped in by now but I'm thinking that RockIsland is right in post #3.

If the guns are accessible by the home's occupant, then it's an interstate transfer and illegal (with limited exceptions which probably don't apply here). If they are inaccessible, for example locked in a keyed safe where the occupant has no key, then it's not a transfer.
The way the govt would likely find out would be if the occupant uses one in self-defense while the OP is elsewhere.
If the home occupant is a prohibited person, or on probation, I wouldn't even risk the "locked safe" option.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

The only way to solve this problem is to move to a free sate.
