LOL! Yeah, that sucks. Loos like they are hand made, so maybe I should have waited to post about them until I could get one first!

I'm broke now anyway, so I have time to wait.

It's cool how you can order it with the end connection style that suits you.
I prefer the paracord attachment method, as it costs pennies and allows you to put it anywhere, and you don't have to add $30-$70 to the cost in added mounting hardware. Not a big deal for ONE rifle, but when you start buying QD sling mounts for several guns, it adds up quick.

The paracord mounting, the simplicity of function, the minimalist amount of material, and the elastic keeper are the things I like most.
The Frank Proctor sling gives all of those EXCEPT for the integrated keeper. A ranger band will work, but I do like that the ESD sling incorporates it.

Any real world reports on their usage? I'm not a paratrooper and I don't plan on completing any missions to eliminate a high value terrorist target any time soon, but something that has seen some usage other than a trip to the range once a month makes it easier for me to spend cash.

I was looking at some bookmarks and noticed that this place has ONE COLOR AVAILABLE - Black Multicam.
    https://www.anrdesignkydexholster.co...-design-sling/

If I didn't have so much money going out to bills at the moment, I would have jumped at the chance to get this sling in my hands to try it out.

Thought I'd post the link in case someone else can benefit from the info.

Note: I'm unsure of the connection method on this one - is it a standard sling that slips through a slot, or does it have the ends where you can run a paracord loop through?

That looks interesting but its not the same. The sling attached at 2 places and had a hook that locked or unlocked the sling. The gun would hang muzzle up on chest and be ready to shoulder or if you were doing something really active you put the hook in the attachment at the front swivel.

Heh. I signed up to be notified when slings come back in stock.
Can't afford one now, but figured it could be a while since almost every item on his website is out of stock. One man show - hand sewn slings - gonna be a while, right?

I got notice today that "black" is back in stock, so if anyone wants one, go for it - I have more pressing needs at the moment.

It could be coincidence - maybe he did a run of black slings - I'm sure black is the most popular.
I guess we shall see - I signed up to be notified when the desert Multicam is available too.

What a crock.......he didn't "design" anything. This is just an Israeli defense force sling and you can buy an authentic one made in Israel for about $20. They are traditionally secured by a 6-8 inch loop of paracord so they can be fitted to just about all military rifles.

    https://zahal.org/product/zahal-2-po...y-rifle-sling/

Everyone in the military has to carry a rifle at all times (on and off duty) so they are designed to be comfortable for all day carry and instantly usable. They look nice too!

OK, I don't know WHAT you're talking about, but I looked at the link and even watched that goofy social media video where he talks about the sling, and that is not even remotely the same sling.

If you like that Zahal sling, that's fine, and I'm happy to learn about new options I hadn't heard of, but that is not the "same design".
It doesn't adjust the same, the material is different, the width is different, it's got a cheap-assed hardware store hook connector - nothing about it is the same as the ESD Sling.
