Been there several times working with a dealer. I'll be there in April as a vendor. Look for me at table C-17 with Allegheny Arsenal - I'm the good looking one...

And that's just the security guys. Some of the more "colorful" folk who show up are even worse!

Those types make up a very small percentage, but they tend to stick out in a crowd so that's what sticks in your mind.

Definitely be prepared for any kind of weather. Usually it's either wet and muddy,
cold and frosty, or hot and dusty. Dress in layers. That goes for April or October.

I was stationed at Ft. Knox from 85-88 and lived off base about 10 miles from Knob Creek. In fact, that is the first range that my wife and I ever went to when we started shooting some 20 years ago.

I was able to attend the machine gun shoot a couple of times and it was pretty cool back then, I've heard it's only gotten bigger and better since.

A quick story, they had finished shooting up targets and they still had some ammo left, one of the participants donated his Caddy to be used as a target. He stated "The ex is getting it in the divorce settlement anyways". They did a number on it!
Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

Don't see myself making it there this year, but I'd love to go.
