Re: Meet PA's Sec. of Health Richard er ah Rachel Levine
My maternal grandfather, a BR&P /B&O Buffalo Division engineer and BLE steward and officer, who was in the first class of engineers to attend diesel school at LaGrange and helped bring back the B&O's first EMD A and B units, frequently said that if you're pissed off and want to do something, and you know it will feel good to do it, it's best not to.

I wouldn't take advice on woman from Liberace, why would I take medical advice from Richard Levine?

When typing a lengthy wordy thing, I put it on a Word page. That doesn't leave unless I direct it to. Then copy/paste to the forum.

Taking advice (opinions) from other than an expert is branded foolish. Interesting concept...which is routinely violated in the real world. Such as, parents advice as we grow, laborer's advice as to how to do the job that the engineers conceived, juries assembled from the plebeian masses to render verdicts. If only an expert can reliably see that something is abnormal, we have all truly digressed toward tree-swinging existence.

Talked to a friend on the phone yesterday who isn't particularly political but obviously voted for Trump and the subject comes up about the Health Secretary and he says to me the guy looks like Ben Franklin. Hokey Smokes I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. Didn't see that coming from him.

A bizarre or distracting appearance, demeanor, voice, or behavior can and will be ignored if the individual excels in some field of endeavor. We've probably all experienced that when someone overcomes an initial impression by virtue of true merit.
That is not the case with R. Levine. Her/his presentations and answers to pointed questions are a word salad. I've yet to hear a medical justification for his/her edicts: lives extended, costs, benefits, etc. supported by data. A lot of "we must, best practices, shelter, flatten curve" regurgitated BS. Bush league. Wouldn't last the first five minutes of an interview of a business hiring manager. Good enough for diversity government work, though. Only our lives and livelihoods at stake.
