Edit: have a 10-10 myself. Police trade in. Looked rough but mechanically good. Main carry piece when working around the place.

edskyy, The S&W Model 10-11 was first produced in 1997 and ran at least until 2001. The -11 engineering change included a different frame that eliminated the cylinder stop stud (as the frame now included in integral lug). This model also introduced the floating firing pin and MIM (metal injected molded rather than forged) hammer.

This is a pre-internal lock K frame which a lot a "true" S&W guys prefer.

If you would like a closer ship date(Smith & Wesson only recorded ship dates and not build dates) we'll need the Serial Number which should be inside the yoke when you open the cylinder or on stamped into the buttstock(depending on the grips you have you'll probably need to remove them to see it)
