The ammo shortage caught me by surprise, but I already had plenty to spart. I'm hard-pressed to think of anything I'd do differently.
Except for meds, me too. In mid-February, guessing we would be having an ammo shortage, we placed an ammo order that would last the machine gun rental business most of the year, plus did a $12k High-Explosive order for the HE Training business, got two things of TP and paper towels, ordered a case of masks that wife already was using for trips to hospital twice a month for blood work, bottles of small hand sanitizer, and bottles of bathroom Purell hand cleaner, and cleaning supplies. I was actually thinking to myself, we got this, shit will get bad for a month or two, and we will ride it out on the farm.

Then the wife said in late March, "I have to order meds, I'm almost out." WOW, WTF I thought.

FYI, I called my primary doctor and requested an extra 90 day supply of meds, J.I.C. our ChiCom "friends" decide to play games with medication supplies. We had to pay non-insurance prices for this batch, but knowing we have a several month cushion gives me some peace of mind.

    Haven't.

Everything I needed, I've been able to source, including toilet paper.

And everything has been bought at a store.

How could anyone have predicted or prepared for an unprecedented pandemic like this? Who knew any country would release a deadly virus on half the world , and not even say ''OOPIE'' till millions were infected. Ya either take what life throws at ya 1 day at a time , or become a raging paranoid maniac. Are you really gonna live with a 1yr rotating supply of food and other essentials?

There was no real shortage of anything if not for the panic hoarding.

How ya gonna take it all with you when ya ''BUG OUT!" "?

Buy freeze dried foods with a 30 year shelf life and there is no need to rotate.

Need to rotate the Celox and Quikclot and medical supplies though.

I could ask you the same about your ammo stash. And BTW, if you have other needed commodities you can trade them for eats and stuff.
