I'd personally go APX because I don't care for Glocks. but either would be a solid choice for carry.

I'm not familiar with the apx, but Glock magazines are easily obtained virtually everywhere, the capacity is excellent for the 19x, and those factory 33rd magazines are cheap if you are just looking for fun.
I have a Glock 17 and i would trade it plus cash for a 19x with zero hesitation.

What's the cost difference between the two pistols?
What's the cost difference and availability of magazines?
Are spare parts readily available for the APX?
Can you perform your own repairs on the APX?
How many holster options are available for the APX?

I've been "virtually" comparing these two options, along with the M&P 2.0 myself.
I actually like the APX gun best, but the availability and cost advantages of mags, sights, holsters, etc, and the eventual resale price that Glock and the M&P enjoy can't be denied. The sale price of the APX beats the others by roughly three magazines though.
I feel like I could spend my money on any of the above and it wouldn't be a poor decision. For me it may come down to something as silly as the fact I already have a Glock 26 so by getting another Glock I would be increasing magazine options.

Is this a most ugly contest? If so then it's a tie. Slight edge to the APX. They must be so proud. You many want to consider a non plastic firearm or be stuck with an aberration.

Glock for the track record as well as the aftermarket. Getting simple things like upgraded sights and internal components is easy and affordable, and you can’t beat $19.99 magazines in all different capacities.

I’m sure the APX is a reliable gun but it’s ugly (my opinion) and didn’t really take off after they failed the military trials so before you make your puck make sure you can get sights, mags, holsters and what ever else you may want in a price range that meets your budget. Saving a few bucks on the gun itself may lead you to paying more on the back end.

There's a nearly $250 price difference so keep that in mind. APXs are easily found for $329. Either will work well, I think it's your preference. Glock holsters are more easily found.
