Personally, I would never take a personal check for that amount regardless of who it was.
Matter of fact, I've never taken a personal check from anyone who I've sold a firearm or firearm related item to. Cash, Cashiers Check, or MO only. People into guns are flaky at best!
I’ll still take personal checks. Last year I must have taken or sent 15-20 checks over $10k, didn’t have any issues. It’s just the machine gun world. Go wander around knob creek some time. It’ll blow your mind.

    I’m not, anymore.

In reflection I think if you can afford a mini gun 21600.00 ain’t shit.

    I guess it’s a humble bragging thing.

I’m not keeping the ammo. I’m just letting the community as a whole to beware of another sleaze ball FFL. If he is willing to burn me he will burn others.

So why don't you take him to court and put a lean on his FFL business?

When I hang out with people they are they type who help each other out without contracts. If one of us needs a spot loan to buy something we give it and get repaid quickly, no writing necessary. Now if we don't have the money to spot, that's one thing but if you aren't friend enough to help each other out then you're not friend enough for me and apparently the OP has that arrangement and I understand what he is saying. I'm wondering if this wasn't going to be for Knob Creek, which got cancelled and his 'buddy' just said FU to him.

Yes, way back when I saw a video (VHS) of a guy with twin 50s mounted in the back of a pickup truck and every time he squeezed off a burst it would fill the back with casings, at $5 a pop (pricing at that time). Not a game for po' folks.

If he won’t make it right and legal roads need to be taken that ps fine. Still letting the community know.

Two things come to mind here.

    1) Who writes checks anymore? I guess guys that want a way to stop payment.

    2) You want to play ammo broker you have to have the stomach for the risk.

Yuuuuuge sums of money usually involve a check from me and I was thinking about this tread just this week...A decent deal on some ammo came up and a friend and I are splitting the loot. He's a great guy and I know him fairly well so I clicked the 'buy now' while it was available and I know that he won't burn me on it.

    3) this thread is 2 months old and the OP hasn't been on the site for 3 weeks.
