    Default Sparking a lube debate...

Iíve got the eternal question of what lubricant you use for your guns? The reason for this is Iíve used eezox here and there over the last few years and was using it about a week or so ago and after doing the second pistol my hand started to tingle on my palm and almost itch to where I couldnít scratch it. Believe this or not since it was so red and raw from scratching I sprayed some ballistol on it to cool it down and it worked. So needless to say I cleaned off the two guns with simple green and alcohol and went back to breakfree and ballistol for my pistols; all my hunting rifles I use g96 and boretech eliminator. Has anyone had a similar issue with eezox or anything else for that matter?
Last thing is I started using renisance wax for the wood stocks since one of my 30/30ís got soaked this deer season anybody give me info on this stuff it seems like a good thing but itís my first time using it and not in the woods yet

Mobil 1 5w30 for lube. Cylinder fogging oil for long term rust preventative.

I tried frog lube and came back to my 1911 after a week or so and it was glued shut. I recleaned everything with clp, I was considering trying something new as well

I like Mobil 1 for oil, and Super Lube for grease.

Blued with wood stocks get Ballistol. Parkerized or nitrided with polymer stocks get CLP.
Take away the soap box, take away the ballot box and all that's left is the cartridge box.

Is bacon grease not an option? It smells nice and you can just lick your fingers clean.

CLP for cleaning and lubricating most things, a small dab of SuperLube grease for any point which needs a bit heavier lube than CLP.

SuperLube is a food-grade grease so should not have any negative skin reactions and is non-toxic.

Synthetic 15-50w oil on metal-to-metal actions and on surfaces. No grease. Teak oil or boiled linseed oil on wood stocks (well rubbed-in).

Super-Lube has a full line of high-grade synthetic lubes , from light/medium/heavy viscosity to greases. Food-grade , dielectric , Teflon , etc. Great stuff.
