Default What are your favorite Ruger 10/22 upgrades? - 2020 edition

As the title suggests, i was hoping we could discuss our favorite Ruger 10/22 upgrades. I'm sure this thread is similar to older threads, but there have been lots of products that gave come and gone.

    My favorite upgrades have been:
Kidd single action trigger: it is crisp and light. I thought it was a lot of hype until i got one. It certainly isn't cheap, but with the exception of the Ruger factory upgraded trigger, none of them are.

Hi viz fiber optic front sight: that little brass bead is a bit of a joke. My eyes are not getting any younger.

pmaca chassis: to be fair, I just ordered this. So i don't have it yet. But i like the chassis idea so i can get a pistol grip. The Midwest industries chassis looks great, but its price point doesn't. It is hard to justify a 250$ chassis on a 200$ rifle.

I sent a couple triggers to brimstone gunsmithing I think they have a 2.5 trigger pull. I also bought a threaded barrel for my takedown.I also did the auto bolt release mod. I like the ruger bx-15 magazines for some reason I cant get the bx-25 or 50 rounder to work right. And the bolt buffer. Probably some other things i am forgetting.

Bolt release mod and extended mag release. I consider both of those "remedies" to designs that could be better, and not really "upgrades."

^^^^^These, plus 16 inch bull barrel, Volquartsen (or similar) trigger/sear/hammer kit, and a good scope.

I started with an LVT, which has a tapered bull barrel and shot well out of the box.

After a Kidd trigger job kit, Volquartsen bedding system, and an excellent scope, it is a sweet shooter.

I totally forgot about the automatic bolt release. I bought one and made one. While the one i made works, it isn't pretty. I'll never bother with that again. I'll just order it and save myself a lot of trial and error.

It functions very well. But it weighs a ton when fully loaded. There's a trick to loading it, but it's easy enough to do. I've only run 330 rounds through it and had no feeding issues.

I'm waiting for Franklin Armory to have their 10/22 Binary Trigger available for sale. Then I'm going to build a new 10/22 and see how fast I can empty a fully loaded drum.

Or... Maybe get a second one and the Gatling gun kit from tactical innovations? I'm only half joking.
