Gunstore NOT doing person to person transfers
I want to get the boards take on this. I've called a few gun stores in my area to ask if they could do person to person transfers during this time. Targetmaster and Delias in Philadelphia have outright said no. To me this wrong. I thought one of the duties of having the so called kings blessing of an FFL was to handle private transfers. Seems wrong that during this time they choose to cherry pick which business they want to take on and in essence deny the 2nd amendment avenue for some folks to buy a gun. What if a neighbor is selling a pistol dirt cheap to help someone out during this crisis because said buyer cant pay retail in the store. That person now goes without because these a-holes are deciding that perhaps private stuff isnt worth the hassle at the moment. They are the legal avenue we are afforded so we can steer clear of legal trouble. Seems to me that after this mess calms down, other avenues need to be implemented so these people dont have a monopoly on deciding when and if people can arm themselves. ALL private transfers should be legal WITHOUT an FFL since they want to act this way.
BTW, yes I know long guns can be done privately. However, sometimes you still may want to be sure of someone and use an FFL for a transfer.

Re: Gunstore NOT doing person to person transfers
I don't believe that there is any requirement at any point in time for any FFL to do FTF transfers. It's a service that they can offer, but they're not required by any law to do so.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Aggies, way ahead of you. I started that process a few months ago and stalled out getting sidetracked with other things. Im back on that goal with more energy now.

Isn't Camerons in Oxford doing transfers out your way? There are also smaller FFLs listed on some of the on line lists.

Re: Gunstore NOT doing person to person transfers
Great suggestions all of you. To clear up any confusion, I am more than good to go on guns. However a good number of people from all over the tristate area contact me for referrals of places they can go for help for anything gear or gun related. People I know from Delco and Philly are looking for a way to arm up during these times. Yes, they should not have waited until now, we all can agree there. Still, finding out some places are denying a service they have always offered has been frustrating for them to deal with.
Free, you mistake my passion for wanting everyone to enjoy their 2nd amendment rights and not be denied access to them under any circumstances for entitlement. Nice way to jump to conclusions though since you know people so well from behind a keyboard.

Use Cameron’s hardware in Oxford. I did a transfer there on Saturday and it went very well.
Just call ahead to make an appointment. They’ve been backed up so it may take a day to get in. But they have a waiting list. Plenty of cancellations and I got in quick
