Addressing the list in the OP:
Already had the walking around money, ammo, food and drink.
Also already had security cams on my buy list.

    Changes Made:
Made note of some supplies deficiencies. That will not happen again.

Made preparations to hook my generators up to the house.

Stepped up my “carry bag” situation, kind of significantly.

    Bought into handheld HAM radios.

    Loaded up on RECHARGEABLE batteries.

    Need improvement/plans for improvement:
    Bug out preparations.

    Radio programming and use preparations.

Home HAM basestation (was already on my list anyway).

    Vehicle HAM setups.

Get my house more organized (was already on the plan).

Need a “tactical” shotgun or two.

    Need more cowbell.

One prep item I still think about getting is body armor for me and wife. If I’m truly in a bug out situation i guess it could be time to armor up as well. But whenever I look I go from soft armor for handguns as that could be the most prevalent threat then talk myself all the way to ceramic plates for rifle rounds. And when I get to ceramic I’m thinking that’s a lot of money for potentially never using. I don’t want to get steel plates, I’m too small framed to wear that comfortably for hours.

So I guess I’ll keep dong my mental gymnastics. :-(

I have always had some sort of side gig since I was in the 7th grade but I'd say about 20 years ago when I was working on a seasonal basis with an ebay business on the side and on my own far away from any family, it taught me to always save for the rainy day or what was the off season. Since then I always hold back extra money off of whatever I earn because I always know there are going to be dips and various events that affect things. In addition, I always keep a bit of extra of everything or have set myself up with some sort of self sufficiency. So with this I haven't really been caught out. I can see a few things I might want to buy, but this thing hasn't really changed much for me.
