I’m similar to Justin in that H1N1 was my wake up call. I will think through more thoroughly logistics of what to take if this was bad enough to head to a cabin I have. I think I have more to take than I could even with a truck. Will do a few practice loads and see what fits and doesn’t. I did make a nice handy list of things to take I could see in a panic I might forget. List is broken down by rooms and areas and what I keep in them.

Was watching this mess in China in January and me and the wife made sure everything we needed was topped off when the politicians were farting around with impeachment. I could’ve grabbed 1 more big pack of paper towels, but really nothing else.

I’ll also continue to listen to my inner voice, it steered me right regardless of what our government and so called experts say.

Shitter paper and hard alcohol need to be upgraded.
Nothing has changed yet, other then leaving later to work due to lack of traffic. This next two weeks will be the game changer, shits going south quick. Even if this affects no one, the economic effect is going to be long lasting.

Everyone has rolled over like a dog when told to, why would they stop when this is over?

Two things that I need to change.

    1. I still need to get a good hand-powered pump for the well in case we lose power and the generator quits or gets stolen.

    2. (And I realize that this is weird) I need to stop using my mouth as a third hand to carry stuff. If my hands are full of grocery bags, my keys are held in my mouth until I unlock the front door. If I take off my glasses to be able to read something, the glasses temple goes in my mouth, so the glasses don't get scratched if set down. Just dozens of other examp!es, every day. I don't know where or when this started, but DAMN is it hard to stop.

Depending on how you look at it, I was fortunate to spend five of the most impressible years of my life living with my depression era grandparents when my parents were divorcing.
I learned a lot and continue to put that into practice. Sure, there are a few things that I still need refine but for the most part I'm good to go.

I vaguely remember hearing something about H1N1, was it epic?

Chinese food restaurants are for Asians, but I digress. I mean, the sheeple go to Texas Roadhouse.

I have no problem with takeout Chinese food though... get my daly (monthly) serving of salt with one meal.
