As Scruff mentioned, a Supercenter allows for a little over 1,000 people.

I'm told we met that number yesterday at one point, but it didn't hold things up much.
Saturday before Easter - I can believe it, I guess.

I have to work 8 hrs today.
Associates have to enter through the Tire/Lube Express entrance where we have our temperature checked.
Masks are now available to us in the main office in the back.

I wore my mask for the 3 hours I worked yesterday, and I have to say that they best wrap up this pandemic before it gets hot, because these things are gonna get unbearable to wear soon.


We STILL have no directional arrows on the floor and our general merchandise areas are open as well.

Toilet paper - we are fully stocked including the top stock shelf and multiple pallets in the aisle. The "1 per customer" signs (for TP only) have been removed.

At work we have to wear hair nets and hard hats. If your face hair is to long a beard net is required. You would be surprised how well hair nets hold heat.

All work gave me when this started was "We'll call you when we know something" then nothing for the past couple of weeks.

Max capacity is officially 1,019 for this store. From 1pm till 4pm it stayed at 550 in the store almost exactly that whole time only fluctuating by a few, then from 4 until 5pm the number dropped to 500 and stayed there.

One said to me "I saw employees not wearing masks in there."
I replied that it isn't mandatory at this point.
Her reply suggested that she was more concerned for the employees catching the death virus vs concern that they were going to make her sick.

Another asked why there were entire families shopping - "other Walmarts have a limit" she said.

Generally. People have been pleasant, wishing a Happy Easter, and "thank you for being here".

One lady started flipping out when she started out the entrance and I asked her to go around to the other side.
"Jesus Christ, it keeps changing every time I'm..."
Ma'am, you don't need to go all the way to the other exit, just around to THIS side to exit.
"Oh. Happy Easter". LOL

Lots of people coming in, head to the exit doors, and need to be politely redirected to the end of the barricade to enter.
I was standing just outside the exit door talking to another associate (black guy) and an older guy was headed towards us, appearing to want to enter the exit side like so many others.
"Hi, you will want to enter right over here, sir", I said, gesturing in the direction of the entrance line.
"What, you think I can't read because I'm black?"

OMG. Unreal.
"Not at all, sir. Just trying to help."
The black guy I was talking to about pissed himself doing a silent laugh so as to not be to obnoxious about it.
He said, "I can't believe some people."
Must suck to live your life angry like that all the time, I replied.

Oh well. All the white people were nice.
