Re: Carrying, the State of Emergency, and the Supreme Court
Maybe it was my confusion in thinking that all the text, with the same font, was from the court's opinion.
But the line, We've been stuck in an SoE for what feels like forever, prohibiting firearm carry for all unlicensed or exempted individuals. , is incorrect.
Viper's question had to do with whether cops had special super powers during a SOE.

Re: Carrying, the State of Emergency, and the Supreme Court
The quoted text has been updated to be more clear.
Also, please clarify what is wrong with my statement that a State of Emergency prohibits the carry of firearms by those who have no LTCF and are not exempted.
§ 6107. Prohibited conduct during emergency.
(a) General rule.--No person shall carry a firearm upon the public streets or upon any public property during an emergency proclaimed by a State or municipal governmental executive unless that person is:
1) Actively engaged in a defense of that person's lifeor property from peril or threat.
(2) Licensed to carry firearms under section 6109(relating to licenses) or is exempt from licensing undersection 6106(b) (relating to firearms not to be carriedwithout a license).
Since carrying concealed and being made is not enough to give RAS for the person not being an LTCF holder, carrying openly during an SoE shouldn't either.. right?Last edited by ViperGTS19801; April 4th, 2020 at 07:46 AM.

This verifies that those with the license are deemed trustworthy by the State, not to mention, including the other states, via reciprocity.
