    Default Mauser 308 parts? (7.62x51)

I have a really customized 44 byf Mauser.
It was sporterized when I got it. I just went a little further.

    I need a Israeli 308 (7.62x51) follower.

There was some really helpful fb groups, but I believe they went private. Fb deleted my account. So, i can not find them with my new account.

Is there anyone that can point me in the direction of a follower? Or could help me find those groups again?

The Israelis didn't modify the follower. Numrich should be able to help you out with one.

Can't get parts through numrich right now.

From what I understand, the guys that converted that had feed issues like i do. Seem to suggest Israeli followers.
Just going with the direction I was pointed.

According to my research the follower is identical for these models:

    Manufacturer: MAUSERModel: 98, 93, 94, 95 RIFLES & CARBINES, 98K ISRAELI 308 CAL,SPANISH FR8

    Are you sure its a
follower issue? I had a Mauser in 308 that had feeding issues. I ended up replacing the extractor and smoothing out the feed ramps.
Lots of info out there on the web for Mauser feed issues. Can you explain exactly what happens when trying to feed a round?

    Google " Mauser won't feed".

Do you have feeding problems with all of the rounds or just the last round that is sitting on the follower? If it is only on the last round or two it is probably due to a weak magazine spring. You can try stretching it out some but it is best long term to replace it. Also check that the follower is sitting flat and not tilted to one side. You can also try bending the spring to fix that too.

I had a standard German Mauser and it was re barreled with an Israeli .308 barrel. Never had a problem with feeding. The case diameter of a 8mm, 30-06 and a.308 are the same. The only difference is the length.
