Default Pa. Dems afraid of McCain's surge...

Rendell wants Sen. Obama to return to his state and make three appearances to blunt McCain's momentum. He recommends a visit to what Rep. Jack Murtha (D-PA) labeled "racist" Western Pennsylvania, followed by an appearance in the capital of Harrisburg and a "large rally" in Philadelphia. But Obama's presence alone will not seal the deal, according to Rendell. So he wants the Obama campaign to bring Sen. Clinton and former president Clinton along with him, presumably to smooth things over with Pennsylvania's small townspeople, whom Obama once derided as "bitter" gun-loving religious zealots.
You guys up in Pa got the Dems scared, I wish Florida would be more pro McCain/Palin.

Default Re: Pa. Dems afraid of McCain's surge...

PA is probably what I'm seeing as the "most active" battleground state this election. Historically for voting we're a blue state and McCain/Palin know they have to win a few blue states to bring this thing home.

Murtha calling us rednecks and racists isn't helping the democratic party right now, especially when you add in that

    1. We're bitter
    2. We cling to our guns (second amendment rights)
    3. We cling to our religion (first amendment rights)
    4. We're apathetic (racist) towards people that aren't like us
    5. We don't like immigrants (WRONG! we don't like ILLEGAL immigrants!)

PA is now poised more than EVER since I've been alive to make a difference this year.

When talking to your friends who are undecided or obama supporters don't talk to them about the sensationalist stuff first. Talk to them about where they're going to feel it the most....their pocketbooks. Then once you've got their attention spend as much time on each individual subject you know enough about to answer questions on. Don't bring up something you've heard in passing and cannot substantiate.
