Yup. Blooming Grove is a 25+ minute drive and Honesdale is about 30 from us. Not a whole lot on patrol, and it's a large coverage area. Heck, Pocono Mountain could get here faster, as was evidenced in Feb 2018 when our sons' bus crashed in La Anna.

Also, Lake Wallenpaupack is around 8 miles to the north of us. It is well known that a call to 911 gets the fire and ambulance quickly...police, they do the best they can...I was not knocking them, mind you.

Funny how people picture police at their station, waiting for a call to come in.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

I/we are well aware that we are on our own...it's nothing new for us, and we are fine with it.

I picture them sitting driver's door to driver's door in the parking lot of the abandoned used car dealership passing doughnuts back and forth.

That's funny. How come it's 'used to', have to stop that when you had kids?

We have to park six feet apart now. Have to toss the donuts through the open window.
