    On another aspect:
Hospitals are still requiring those ear-hanging tissues as masking - even though they have proven to be unreliable at preventing infection from the Coronavirus.

"Symbolism over Substance" is still a promoted response.

    ...
UPMC seems to have done away with the masks last week… I didn’t even know they came back.

I'm seeing little signs here and there. Just a slight uptick in mask-wearers,
Hand sanitizer displays are prominent in some places, not all.

Little things. But no mandates anywhere, not even medical offices, labs,
    hospitals, or urgent care facilities.

I think there is some vague new threat that doesn't seem to be getting any
real traction. Like that little old lawnmower that, when you pull the cord, coughs
and fires just once but won't run.

Maybe this is the spring gas/ethanol virus?

We saw several people wearing masks yesterday when we were serving. One doofus ordered from us, but pulled down his mask to do so. Many of the cars in the lot were front platers, I don't think we saw any locals wearing masks.

At the doctors yesterday there was a sign on the door saying masks required. The receptionist had a mask on. The nurse had a mask on. Neither said a word to me about needing a mask. Doctor comes in......no mask.

Lancaster General Hospital already took its masking signs back down again. I don*t even know that they were up for a month.
